Financed by arte, BR, UNITEL and FilmFernsehFond Bayern we produced the final chapter of our long term documentary on Hilary Hahn this Summer in Rhode Island, USA. Since 2003 we have been following this extraordinary artist with the camera, watching her grow and develop – right up to the unbelievably versatile and yet perfect violinist she is today. Numerous terrabytes of material, hours of wonderful documentary scenes and countless performances make this production one of NIGHTFROG’s greatest and most important. In the course of the years the pleasure filming her performing with orchestras like Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, SWR Radio Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Deutsches Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Münchner Kammerorchester.
We have talked to famous friends and colleagues such as Sir Colin Davis, Kent Nagano, Gustavo Dudamel, Natalie Zhu, Josh Ritter, Christine Schäfer, Matthias Goerne, Alexander Liebreich, Pavo Järvi, Jennifer Higdon, Vasily Petrenko and Volker Bertelmann alias Hauschka
